Delivery Times & Access

q.When will you deliver my skip/skip bag/van?

We deliver your skip or van on whichever day you require, which we ask you to specify when you complete our online quote form. Skipbags are posted to you to keep for as long as you need them - when you're finished, we simply come and collect them from you like a standard skip. You can also specify whether you would prefer to have your waste dispsal option delivered in the morning or afternoon of the delivery day. We try to deliver your skip exactly when you need it, but please remember that there are many factors that are outside our control eg. traffic/weather/delays at other sites. We will give you an indication when your delivery is booked for but cannot guarantee this.

q.Do I have to be there when you arrive?

As long as we have sufficient instructions as to your requirements, you don’t have to be there when we deliver your skip or man & van combo. You can specify whether arrive in the morning or afternoon of the day of delivery. Please do make sure beforehand that our lorry or van can access your site safely or additional charges may apply for an aborted journey.

It is recommended that you be present when the skip or skip bag is collected.

q.can my skip be kept in the road?

Skips cannot be placed on the public highway without a permit. This includes footpaths and grass verges maintained by the council or highways department. If your skip is to be placed on a public highway you must ensure it is suitably lit and the area coned off. We can provide lights and cones where required. If you live on a private road you may not need a permit but may require permission from a residents association or similar. Customers ordering skips on privately owned property do sat at their own risk. Please be aware that skip lorries can damage some surfaces. We cannot accept responsibility for any damage caused by our vehicle whilst delivering and collecting from your site. If you require advice on how to protect your site, please don't hesitate to contact us and we will advise you on how best to protect your site.

We can arrange permits for you where necessary. Please contact us for more help and information. Please be aware that this process is conducted by your highways department and can take up to seven  days depending on them.

q.WHAT SORT OF ACCESS do YOU REQUIRE TO MY SITE?

You MUST ensure that there is sufficient room for our lorry to deliver and collect your skip. We normally require a minimum access width of 9ft, unless you specify that your skip be delivered on a smaller vehicle (7ft) in cases of limited access. This can only be specified when you are disposing of lighter waste.

Please make sure you inform us of any overhead obstructions, for example overhanging tree branches, which may need to be trimmed before we arrive.

Failure to inform us beforehand of the conditions of access to your site may result in the application of additional fees.

If your site does not have suitable access, or if you aren't sure, please contact us and we can make alternative arrangments for you.
