Do's and Dont's

A list of things to remember when ordering

DO's

  1. Make sure your site is large enough to accommodate the size of skip, skip bag or van you have ordered.
  2. Make sure there is sufficient access to your site for our staff to deliver your skip, skip bag or van. If you're in doubt about this, you can call us to check.
  3. Remember to check whether or not the type of waste you are disposing of requires special arrangements.

DON'T's

  1. Don't overfill your skip or skip bag. All skips should be 'level-loaded', or in other words, loaded so that there is no danger of waste falling out when the skip is moved - thereby causing a hazard to both our staff and the general public. If you do overfill your skip, we will either ask you to lower the skip to the fill level or charge an additional fee.
  2. Don't use your skip to dispose of tyres, fridges/freezers, full paint cans/tins, gas bottles (see full list) or any form of asbestos or other hazardous waste.
  3. Don't leave your skip on a public road without a permit from your local council (we can apply for the permit on your behalf but please note that there will be an additional fee of £15 and a strict time limit of 14 days to return the skip to us).
